Founder & CEO
Before founding Argenthal, François worked for over 10 years in the alternative investments industry, first with boutique investment banks and then with Argenthal & Co, which was the Group's investment banking division prior to its eventual sale to DMS Governance, a leader in compliance services for the asset management industry. François runs the real estate investments of Argenthal, as well as a range of Group companies. He is the General Partner and Director of Argenthal Limited, Alkemia SCA and their global affiliated SPVs.
Alongside his activities with Argenthal, François has been the Chief Investment Officer of a private bank in Monaco as well as the managing partner of a series of investment partnerships in private equity, credit and structured finance. He served as President EMEA Affairs & Head of Direct Investments at Deltec Bank & Trust.
François currently serves as the Managing Partner of Argenthal Capital Partners, the group's investment arm in private markets.
Francois is fluent in French, English, German and Italian, and has a basic grasp of Turkish and Russian. He graduated from ESCP-Europe with a master's degree, studied at HSG in Switzerland, LUISS Guido Carli in Italy and graduated with honors from the master's degree of Ecole Polytechnique in France.
Christophe joined the Argenthal Group as Chief Operations Officer. Having completed over 40 consulting assignments, Christophe Aymard has considerable experience in performance improvement, industrial strategy and cost reduction consulting. He assists SMEs and multinationals in the design of transformation projects, identifying and setting up optimisation paths, with the aim of transferring know-how and training performance players in best practices. He has been involved in various sectors: aeronautics, automotive, energy, agri-food, transport, telecom...
Cofounder & CIO
Prior to founding Arlington Capital and merging with Argenthal, Patrick co-founded Hanson Asset Management. He has over 16 years of professional investment and financial advisory experience. Previously, he was CEO and Investment Director of Adurion Capital, where he invested in distressed and turnaround opportunities. Patrick also held roles at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed hedge fund, at Rhône Group, a leveraged buyout fund, and at Fonds Partenaires, the Lazard partners’ principal investment fund. Patrick originally started his career in Lazard’s mergers and acquisitions advisory practice. He has been based in Frankfurt, Paris and London. His core competencies lie in the areas of principal investments, corporate finance, real estate, general management and structuring.
Cofounder & General Counsel
Joseph is an international lawyer and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience in private investing, M&A, structured finance, asset management and securities law. He practiced US & UK securities law (with a focus on complex asset securitization) in London at both Clifford Chance and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Joseph directly reported to Paul Weiffenbach, The American Lawyer “1999 Deal Maker of the Year” for Asset-Backed Securities Transactions. Joseph co-founded the Qtrade Financial Group, a national integrated wealth management platform, and owner of Qtrade Investor, perennially Canada’s #1 online brokerage. Qtrade was sold in 2013 to one of Canada’s largest banks. Today, Joseph is also CEO of CENTR Brands Corp., maker of North America’s leading CBD beverage, CENTR.
Chief Administration Officer
Xavier is an experienced private banker who worked at Deutsche Bank and CIC after getting his start with a leading notaries’ firm.
Before joining Argenthal, he was in charge of portfolio management and development of HNW Entrepreneurs at the CIC Private Banking office in Aix-en-Provence.
Since February 2018, he is Argenthal Group’s Chief Administrative Officer.
Human Capital Director
Christian joined the Argenthal Group as Human Capital Director after 17 years in Human Resources, both in operational and corporate functions. His path took him across Europe (France, Sweden and Germany), primarily working in the automotive industry.
A dual citizen of France and Germany, he holds a specialised masters from ESCP Europe in Paris.
